A ballroom, a school disco, a church hall, a singles night, a wedding. Dancing with other people is for some a joyous affirmation of life and friendships, for others a social ritual that defines hierarchies and breaks hearts.
Disco for one takes a timelessly familiar social situation and re-empowers an individual within it.
You get to choose your track, you get the whole hall, the whole dance floor to yourself, you are in charge. You may choose a track that holds a special memory, a track that you love dancing to, a track you want to listen to really loud, or a track that makes you want to lie in the middle of the dance floor.
Nobody else will be allowed in the disco while you dance, it will not be recorded.
