I covered this fruit machine to blur it visually, to make it look like its in the background, or maybe how you’d see it through a fogged pub window. It looks more like a memory when it’s covered, or maybe it feels more like an idea.
It references how fruit machines are often used as class signifiers on TV, flashing away in the background. There is something about censorship going on too, It’s a sculpture but by the skin of its teeth.
